Mahi Tahi worked together to make Anzac biscuits that the soldiers ate at Gallipoli.
Mahi Tahi used their experience from the re-creation of the Gallipoli trenches to help them write a poem about the Anzac's.

Friendship Bus Stop
Room 9 and 10 would love to thank Heartland Ricoh, Laurie and Dan (Evie's Dad) for donating a friendship chair and for making our idea come true. Doug picked the chair up for us on Monday and the children put it to great use on Tuesday. The coolest part is that it's made from recycled toner cartridges. We have a sign to make for it now but we are so happy to see our idea come to life.

ANZAC Re-enactment
On Monday we re-enacted an ANZAC scene, we all huddled in the 'trenches' and listened to a war scene happening just beside us.
We found the trenches crowded, hot and loud. Have a look at the photos and videos and we will also post some of their writing in the next few days. Watch this space....

Puppet Show
Yesterday the whole school were lucky enough to have a puppet show come and visit.
This was a dynamic and fun puppet show that had everyone enthralled as the ‘puppets’ told the story of Wilfrid Gordon McDonald Partridge who lived beside a retirement village and would visit the old people to hear their memories from the past.
The puppet show was based on the book Wilfrid Gordon McDonald Partridge by Mem Fox.
